Best laptops of 2023

I've come across a couple of cheap Chromebooks, and most of them have decent web browsing performance and battery life. Most of them have the pretty bad build quality and screens, which is why they are cheap for a reason, but this one here is different.

It is the new Acer Chromebook spin 311. It's got an 11.6-inch HD screen that every chip combo has, but it is an IPS touch panel instead of a boring washed-out TFT LCD and look at this design no doubt it is made of plastic, but it looks way better than others that come with a boring black or gray cheap plastic. This could be the nicest budget Chromebook I have come across and here are my dots like other entry-level Chromebooks the Chromebook spin 311 comes with an Intel Celeron m4100 quad-core processor and my review unit here has 8 gigs of ram and 64 gigabytes of EMC storage.
It's a nice storage configuration that you can open many browser tabs without any issues and store media and documents. I am very impressed with the port selection two USB 3.1 ports support both USB PD charging and display output two full-size USB 3.1 ports and a micro SD card slot for storage expansion, which is even better than some entry-level windows laptops for a budget convertible Chromebook.
The Chromebook spin 311 is extremely well-built and has very solid display hinges. It doesn't wobble as much when I use it as a tablet and type on it, the touch panel features a digitizer by Wacom which offers a really good writing experience with the included active stylus, although the IPS panel offers really good colors and contrast when watching videos the media consumption experience is let down by its loudspeakers which sounds tiny and doesn't produce bass at all but that's expected from an entry-level Chromebook. So, I've been working a lot on the Chromebook spin 311 for the past week, and I am extremely happy with the keyboard and trackpad though the keys are sadly not bad they offer a very comfortable and tactile experience with decent-sized keycaps and key travel the trackpad gear also has reasonably good tracking performance and palm rejection which is rare on an entry-level Chromebook for conference calls.
The Chromebook Spin 311 offers a serviceable HD webcam that supports HDR, so you will look fine even when you are having a conference call with bright backlighting, however it doesn't come with a privacy shutter or a webcam disabled key which might cause some privacy concerns. For some people, the Chromebook Spin 311 also comes with a 5-megapixel world-facing camera that's over here that is also serviceable for scanning documents and capturing presentation modes image quality however isn't good when used in low light, so Acer quotes up to 10 hours of battery life and in my experience.
I got up to an impressive 8 hours with a mixture of video streaming and web browsing activities which you shouldn't have any issues with. If you intend to use this for classes and office work and even if you run out of juice, you can purchase a USB PD power bank to charge the Chromebook up to 45 watts, and it gets fully charged from zero percent in about 90 minutes. The Acer Chromebook spin 311 retails for 1599 ringgits the base model will offer you 4 gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of EMC storage which should still do well for most people my review unit here will cost an extra 400 ringgits more which I think is a little pricey, but you definitely can't go wrong with more ram and storage on the Chromebook.
If you're someone that isn't aware of the number of browser tabs open and things that you store on your computer, overall the Chromebooks mean 311 is an excellent budget Chromebook that I would highly recommend anyone to go for if most of your work is done on the web, and you're invested in google suite of apps and services so that's pretty much my review of the Acer Chromebook spin 311.
